Southern Brave won by 4 runs
PLAYER OF THE MATCH
Hilton Cartwright

That's it for game one tonight. We have another one starting pretty soon. Hop tabs to follow all of that. For now it's bye bye.

Hilton Cartwright | Match Hero: That was an absolute thriller. Ebbed and flowed throughout the whole 2nd innings and the crowd got what they wanted. I just went and had a crack, thankfully it came off. Couple of guys came into the side, CJ coming in after an injury bowled beautifully. I know it's a cliche but the bowlers did an outstanding job.

17:54 Local Time, 16:54 GMT, 22:24 IST: The Brave stay alive with this win. Bairstow looked like he was going to do it on his own as he started like a house on fire in the powerplay. But his wicket turned things and soon regular strikes kept the Brave in it. TKC and Zaib added a good stand but that was broken too and the Fire did not have a set batter to see them through. Excellent death bowling from Coles, Archer and Jordan saw it home for the Brave who now move into third spot. The Fire stay bottom of the table. The wicket was not easy as we saw in the first innings but the Fire would have backed themselves to chase this down especially after the rapid powerplay they got. Stay tuned to find out who the match hero is....

Jordan to Matt Henry, 1 run, The Brave win! Fine yorker just outside off, Matt Henry can only drag the drive to mid-wicket, off a thick inside-edge. Jordan is struggling with his groin and he hobbles holding his right leg, but he has got his side over the line

Long-off and long-on back.

6 off 1. Graham Clark did it for the Superchargers against the same team in a similar scenario but it was Mills bowling then. Vince, Craig Overton and Jordan have a chat. Can Henry do it? Tough if Jordan nails the yorker.

99

Jordan to David Payne, 1 run, yorker length outside off, David Payne shuffles across to scoop, off the thick inside-edge and down to backward square-leg

7 off 2, a smiling Matt Henry has a chat with David Payne.

98

Jordan to Matt Henry, 1 run, very full on off, Matt Henry drives straight to the fielder at long-on. That's a fine delivery

8 off 3, David Payne and Matt Henry have a chat. Vince has a chat with Jordan regarding the field. Now deep backward square-leg coming in. Long-on back.

97

Jordan to David Payne, 1 run, full outside off, driven straight to the fielder at extra-cover and Roy fumbles, just one

9 off 4, another chat between Vince and Jordan.

96

Jordan to Matt Henry, 3 runs, length delivery outside off, Matt Henry throws the bat at it, thick outside-edge flies over short third man, deep backward point runs across and cuts it off with a dive, lobs it to short third man, they come back for three

The four fielders out are deep point, deep extra-cover, deep backward square-leg and deep mid-wicket.

12 off 5, Jordan to bowl. Craig Overton, Vince and Jordan in a chat. Jason Roy is lurking around near them.

95

James Coles to David Payne, byes, 1 run, fires in the yorker length delivery outside off, David Payne advances and misses, Laurie Evans can't hang on and it's a tough stumping chance gone

The Brave will have to bring an extra fielder in for the final set. Due to over-rate issues. Vince with a chat to James Coles.

94

James Coles to Matt Henry, 1 run, length on leg-stump, Matt Henry heaves wide of mid-wicket for one

93

James Coles to Matt Henry, no run, short and wide outside off, Matt Henry thrashes it straight to the fielder at cover. Either side and was four
